In East Hampton, Long Island, NY, "Art for Life" kicks off today with a shopping event from 1 to 3 p.m. with Russell Simmons, Lyor Cohen and Allison and Chip Brady at Tory Burch in East Hampton. Ten percent off, and 10 percent goes to the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, which raises money for arts education in New York City public schools.
"Art for Life" continues with a benefit at Russell Simmons' East Hampton home. Soledad O'Brien hosts the 10th anniversary of the benefit, which is $1,500 a plate.
Simmons will host the Art for Life after-party from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday at Georgica Restaurant & Lounge in East Hampton. Serena Williams, Tim Gunn and Donna Karan are expected to attend.
