CNN's new Black In America 2 series looks to continue the dialogue started with last year’s inaugural Black In America series, which drew 13 million viewers to the network.
The first part 2 segment, “Today’s Pioneers,” will debut July 22, with the second part, “Tomorrow’s Leaders,” airing the following evening.
A third special, CNN & Essence: Reclaiming the Dream, will be tied to the African-American women’s magazine’s July Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
Besides the recently announced Latino in America series, CNN may also include in the future other multicultural communities.
Soledad O'Brien hosted the original BIA series and will also host part 2 and the Latino series which will premiere this fall.
