Hearst says its syndicated news magazine program “Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien” will end its run at the conclusion of its 10th season.
The show was produced by Hearst Media Production Group (Hmpg) and syndicated by Sony Pictures Television to local TV stations across the country, including those owned by Hearst Television. During its run, the show was honored with a number of awards, including the Iris Award from the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE).
“The Matter of Fact team, led by Executive Producer Rita Aleman, had a tremendous 10-season run and is going out on top,” Frank Biancuzzo, the President of Hmpg, said in a statement. “We have new projects in development with Soledad and are looking forward to what’s ahead in continuing our successful partnership.”
The show was launched in 2015, with television journalist Soledad O’Brien joining in its second season.
