Matter of Fact with Soledad O'Brien is a weekly American public-affairs television talk program hosted by journalist Soledad O'Brien. The show is produced by Hearst Television and is distributed to TV stations in national broadcast television syndication by Sony Pictures Television.

It airs on TV stations around the country in weekend program slots, primarily in the Sunday morning talk program block. The show also airs on a one-week-delayed basis on FYI (an American pay-television channel owned by A&E Networks, a joint venture between the Disney Media Networks and Hearst Communications.)

Matter of Fact was originally launched in November 2015 with another host, but beginning with the 2016-2017 TV season, O'Brien took over the hosting duties and the show was rebranded.

For for the 2018-2019 TV season, agreements with multiple station groups had expanded the show's audience reach to 90% of U.S. TV households.

Check for the station in your area that carries the program at matteroffact.tv/on-tv/   For me, it is on New York City's WNBC on Sunday at the way-too-early 5:30 a.m. - so I set the DVR.

Soledad Is Not Horsing Around

'Hungry to Learn' Documentary from Soledad O'Brien Productions

A new documentary, Hungry to Learn, tells stories of NYC CUNY college students experiencing hunger and homelessness.

The documentary follows four college students from New Jersey and Pennsylvania as they navigate financial hardship, housing insecurity and hunger in pursuit of their degrees.

The film is directed by veteran documentarian Geeta Gandbhir, and it premiered November 9, 2019 at the School of Visual Arts Theatre in NYC.
