Soledad O'Brien to be next Women in Government speaker at Pitt State

Soledad O'Brien, an award-winning journalist, documentarian, news anchor, producer and CEO, will be the next speaker in the Women in Government speaker series at Pittsburg State University in Kansas

O’Brien will present “Diversity: On TV, Behind the Scenes and In Our Lives” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the Linda & Lee Scott Performance Hall at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts. The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will be followed by a question-and-answer session and a brief meet-and-greet.

Past speakers in the series have included former First Lady Laura Bush, White House press correspondent Helen Thomas and Tina Chen, a chief of staff to former First Lady Michelle Obama.
