Starfish Media One Year On

Soledad O’Brien's startup production company, Starfish Media Group, celebrated its one-year anniversary this past week.

O'Brien left CNN in March 2013 and started her company and has since formed relationships with a number of networks including HBO, NatGeo and Al Jazeera America.

Starfish Media has focused on both long-form documentaries and news segments and also pieces made for the web.

Currently, she is completing work on a documentary for CNN about soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).
