O'Brien in PA for AC360

In Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, a young man was beaten to death. Two men were charged and found guilty of only simple assault, serving less than a year in prison. Was it a hate crime?

The Department of Justice says it was. The DOJ is now unsealing indictments and charging the two men with a hate crime. The indictment also alleges three Shenandoah police officers - including the police chief – many have conspired to obstruct justice. The officers have pleaded not guilty.

Soledad O’Brien traveled to Shenandoah for AC360 where she spoke to people in the town about the latest development in this case.
